On the 10th Day of Christmas…

At United Notions we get to see ALOT of new irons come through these doors. There are tons of good irons but we are currently loving this little baby.

This portable mini iron is absolutely ideal for crafting, sewing or quilting whether you are at home OR traveling!
It has 4 temperature settings on a lighted digital control pad.
We love how it heats and holds temperature in just seconds.
It has 4 Iron head positions and the soleplate measures 2-3/8″ x 1-3/4″.
The design of this iron allows you to get in to tiny places you wouldn’t normally be able to.
And it shuts off automatically after 60 minutes.
We have had so many quilt shops come through the warehouse on the hunt for this little iron and now we know why.
This iron will fit nicely in everyone’s stocking this Christmas!
Today we are giving away one of the Dritz Petite Press Mini Irons! The winner will be announced tomorrow morning.

  1. This is definitely on my wish list…I am tired of having to set up the big iron and burn my fingers just to do little seams and such! This would be perfect, thanks for the chance 🙂

  2. My large iron sometimes creates more problems than it solves, so Santa has saved space in my stocking for this little iron.

  3. I would love this little iron! I live in Malta and as no one quilts in Malta and I go to Sweden a week each summer for my one week of quilt retreat (I call it “my week for continued sanity”) and this little baby iron would be perfect for those trips! =)

  4. Oh wow, dear Santa, this would be so much better than the big clunky iron for purses and bags and things, so pretty please can you bring it to me?

Thanks for the chance to win :o)

  5. This little iron would make piecing so much easier, wouldn’t have to get up and head for the big board. My stocking is empty without it.

  6. Such a cute and useful iron. I’d love to give it a whirl! Say, Sarah Beth, who was yesterday’s 2nd winner of the Moda Christmas Sampler Tin filled with 4 mini charm squares? Hope it was me! Kd

  7. I didn’t know this cute iron existed but I could definitely put it to good use. I like the fact it will fit into those little corners you want to press. Thanks for the chance to win one!

  9. My finger strength isn’t what it used to be. This little iron would be easier for me to pick up and use plus my old iron iron gave out a year ago and I have been using a roller instead of an iron.

  17. Dearest Santa, Please choose my name for this giveaway. If you’ve been watching me lately, then you know that: #1– I’ve been good-as-good-can-be lately (well, trying to, anyway 😉 and #2– I *really* need a new iron to use on those 72 string blocks, 224 quarter-square-triangle blocks, and 350 half-square-triangles that I’ve been working on… Thank you for the chance to win this awesome prize! 🙂

  18. That looks like a cute little gadget! But, someone else needs this more than I! So, please redraw if my name should be drawn. Thanks!

    (Entering for the grand prize!)

  21. I would save so many steps if I had this next to my sewing machine. Thanks for the giveaways this Christmas season. Your follower, Kathie L in Allentown

  22. This little mini iron would be wonderful to have. I have a very small sewing area, so this would be perfect for me. I hate dragging my big heavy iron out and trying to find a place to put it.

  23. This would be perfect for me! I have a need for a new small iron to press my quilt pieces. My regular size iron is good for yardage and clothes (gasp).

  24. Santa knows I’ve been a good girl this year and that my current iron is on the fritz! Please Santa, bring me one these little irons 🙂

  25. I love this little iron. I have been looking for a mini one for a while now and this would be perfect! The only one I have now is my big, regular household iron. If I don’t win it, I will just have to find one and buy it!

  26. What a cute little iron! It would be absolutely perfect to get into the corners of all the bags and organizers I’ve been working on – Santa, you know I need this one for sure!

  27. This would be the ultimate tool to have beside my sewing machine to iron out those wrinkles on little pieces of fabric. Santa this would fit perfectly in my stocking! 🙂

  28. This is just the perfect size for keeping right beside your sewing machine or for fusing applique without even getting up from your chair! How perfect!! Have a blessed day!

  29. I need this for when I give my demonstrations at Quilt Camp in the Argyle Branch Library! Please, Santa, put this in my stocking!

  30. I’m a follower, and that would go perfect with my mini ironing board that I use when sewing for my grands. I’ve never seen one! Thanks for a chance to win.

  31. I would love this in my stocking! I love the idea it is portable. My husband joked that I should make him some shirts out of Moda quilt cotton so I would enjoy ironing them more..lol…actually not a bad idea. 🙂

  32. This looks like the perfect iron to use next to my machine while doing smaller projects that have me going back and forth to the ironing board constantly to iron the small pieces. Using my small ironing mat and this small iron would be absolutely perfect.

  33. This would be sooo handy to have and I wouldn’t have to get up and move over to the ironing area on the other side of the room.

  34. Oh wow – I would LOVE this in my stocking! I do paper-piecing & this would be so much easies than using my big iron or just finger pressing. Please pick me for this one!!!

  35. I would really love to have this to add to my quilting tools. It would travel easly as our quilt quild meets once a week, and travel for me is almost 40 miles.

  36. This looks like a great little iron and perfect for taking to classes and keep next to my machine. I love that it has an automatic shut off. I would love to win this one!!!

  37. This little iron would be great for pressing applique shapes and would be a huge help when I make baptismal banners for our church.

  38. One of these would be so awesome to set up on a TV-tray type ironing surface next to my sewing machine – especially when I’m doing paper piecing (which I love) and would fit so nicely in my stocking this Christmas!

  39. I would just absolutely love having one of these little irons…I can think of so many ways to use it for sewing & crafts. It would be so helpful. Thanks!

  40. This looks fantastic & the safety shut off would be brilliant. I would love to win this, it would be ideal to use all the time, at home & also at classes or retreats. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.

  41. That cute little iron would be the perfect size for my sewing room with its sleeve board ironing board!! Plus it would turn itself off if I forget to!!

  42. I’d love to not have my big clunky iron just out because I use it all the time. Is Santa brought me this one, I’d only have to get out the old one once in a blue moon when my hubs needs s shirt ironed!

  43. Sure looks like a great gizmo to have in the sewing/quilt room or even better yet to take along on quilting groups and classes-sure would love to find one in my stocking!!

  44. On the 10th day of Christmas, my quilting friend agreed…
that my girls would be more likely to sew if their fingers didn’t get fried. The big iron is big and hot! What a great tool, and wonderful gift of generosity! Merry Christmas!!

  45. How cute! I need this iron because I don’t have a lot of room on my quilting table and this would keep me from having to walk to the kitchen to iron my blocks.

    Thanks!
    Sandy A

  46. I have wanted a mini iron for quite some time now. This little darling is definitely on my wish list this year. I would Love, Love, Love to see this in my Christmas stocking.

  47. I would love to win the little iron!!! I have just begun learning how to quilt and have found that large irons can be cumbersom. A small one would be so handy.

  48. Our family is going on a mini-vacation soon. They are doing the National Gallery of Art and the Air/Space Museum. I can’t take that much walking so I’m staying at our condo and I’m sewing! Woo Hoo! The mini iron would be great for this sort of thing.

  49. Is there anyone who loves ironing?

I would like to have it, because at the moment, I sew in the house entrance any my iron board is standing in the family room – not everybody in this family likes that 😉

    Greetings,
    Tina

  50. I don’t have a small iron and wow, would I LOVE to have this one ! Would be so great to take to a class or retreat, and so handy as I sew.
Thanks for the chance to win !

  51. Always looking for an iron that I can operate safely with my arthritic hands & arms…this one has possibilities! lightweight, small, a shaft grip, wow!

  52. I like the idea of a small iron for a variety of projects, particularly for doing machine embroidery applique’. while I confess I’ve not used this iron, I have used a few small irons and they never seem to get really hot. Sure would love to win this won to give it a try. My current mini-iron isn’t very good.

  53. I need a new mini iron! I agree with “marogez” – the one I have doesn’t shut off automatically, and I’ve managed to leave singe marks on several projects.
