Summer by the sea…

How would you like to spend your summer on a beach like this?

This is Pensacola, Florida.

We’re not headed there – and there aren’t any beach plans on the calendar – but we’re headed for a “beach” frame of mind with an ocean-themed quilt-along led by the Moda Bake Shop and a few of their chefs.

The fun starts on June 3 with fabric requirements, and there will be weekly blocks through the end of August. There will be a lot of options but you’ll choose a layout early on so your final layout won’t be a complete mystery.

At The Seashore – Summer Sneak.

Did you go to summer camp with the Bake Shop in 2018? This is much like that adventure – the quilts were quite different based on everybody’s choices.

If you missed it, you can see some of the quilts on Instagram – #chooseyourownadventureQAL.

This is an early picture from Kristina Brikerhoff of Center Street Quilts.

To see what it was all about, or go to Summer Camp a year late, the blocks are on the Moda Bake Shop – Choose Your Own Adventure.

So go check out the Summer Sneak, start looking through your stash for inspiration and maybe make a trip to your favorite quilt shop to fill in the gaps.

You’ve got less than a month to get in shape!

  1. Looking forward to the fun. Hope you don’t mind, I shared it on Instagram and put this link in for info.

    1. Hi Sue –

There isn’t any cost – the blocks and setting information are free downloads. 🙂

  2. For those of new and with some summer commitments, can we still participate? I mean, if we have no machine or fabric access for a few weeks or so.

    1. Hi Ceil – Absolutely! You can save the blocks to your computer, bookmark the blog post or just check back in when you can. The setting information and blocks won’t be going away – they’ll be available whenever you’re ready. 🙂

  3. I used to live in Pensacola & our graduating class spent the night on this beach. I can’t wait for the new line!

  4. Is there a link to sign up for block notifications or do I just check the blog beginning June 3rd?

  5. I’m definitely jumping in. Although for me in Cape Town, South Africa it will be winter and also my favourite time of the year for staying indoors and sewing. Very excited about this one!

We love to hear from you...
