We are excited to announce the release of 318 Patchwork Patterns by Kumiko Fujita. First published in Japan, this incredible book became wildly popular with quilters around the world. Now available in English, 318 Patchwork Patterns features over 300 original patchwork and appliqué blocks from designer Kumiko Fujita. This collection shows off her amazing talent for constructing detailed, realistic-looking motifs with deceptively simple shapes.

Designs are included for a variety of themes, such as holidays, letters and numbers, animals, flowers, food, and more. These beautiful motifs will inspire you to create countless projects…the possibilities are endless!

To celebrate the release of the book, we stitched up a few blocks using some of our favorite new Moda fabric lines, including Best Day Every by April Rosenthal, Modern Neutrals by Amy Ellis, Persimmon by Basic Grey, Miss Kate by Bonnie & Camille, and One For You One For Me by Pat Sloan. It was so much fun to experiment with all the different prints and patterns. Moda’s Layer Cakes are great to use when making these blocks since they contain an assortment of coordinating fabrics that are perfectly sized for these patchwork designs.

This book had a release date of Oct 15, 2014 when I pre-ordered it from amazon a few weeks ago, but it has since been changed to Jan 1, 2015! Any idea what’s happening with this??

Note from the publisher of 318 Patchwork Patterns:
The Amazon listing for this title is incorrect. We have requested many times for it to be corrected but this has not happened. The books arrived in our warehouse in the US this week! United Notions and independent shops will have stock very soon.

Please consider canceling your Amazon order and ordering it instead from your local quilt store or an online shop like Pink Castle Fabrics. They will have the book in October. I’m sorry for this hassle.

The price of this title will be $21.99 anywhere it is sold, online or at local independent shops (it will not sell for the incorrect discounted price listed on Amazon). We did this by design to support our distributors like Moda and independent stores.

Thank you for the information. I love to support LQS and independent retailers any time I possibly can and do order from Pink Castle, too! In this instance my budget is just so tight from some doctor bills and I had an amazon gift card so I used it to pre-order the book.

I did contact amazon customer service and they opened a ticket with their tech team and said this will be resolved and corrected by next week. They included a link to this post/comment with their help ticket and attached my customer order to the ticket (rep said these things will help to ensure the matter will be corrected).
